Knight School

The Knight School program is hosted by Living History Australia (LHA), which has been operating in schools for over ten years. LHA is accredited by Education Queensland for its school programs and performs for 1000’s of students every year. Our instructors are highly experienced and professional historians, re-enactors and medieval martial artists dedicated to bringing history to life in an entertaining and informative way for students.

Knight School participants will engage in full-speed, full-contact team battles using rubberised swords and shields and other protective equipment as well as experiencing demonstrations of combat with real weapons and armour by Knight School instructors. There will also be a ‘Artifact Interaction’ session where participants are given the opportunity to handle (carefully) some of these real implements of medieval warfare. As you are trained in the art of knightly combat our instructors will describe the squires path through to knighthood and regale you with stories and interesting facts about the life of a Medieval Knight
